Round 4

Romig is victorious!  On the heals of an amazing end of the year run that saw a streak of three straight $ Finishes in weeks 30-32 (including a PGA Championship win), Romig cruises through the SLS Cup Playoffs thanks to young guns Anthony Kim (team MVP) and Camilo Villegas.  2007 SLS Cup champ Dutch Roll could get no closer than four shots after the first round and his bid for a second straight SLS Cup title was denied.  In two playoff matches, Romig won by an average of fourteen shots.  A dominating season and a fitting redemption for just barely missing out on last year’s SLS Cup Playoffs.

In the consolation match Golf Cheese Hoes pulls away in the final round in a tight match through three rounds, beating Honma -11 to -6.  The 5th seed to begin the playoffs, Golf Cheese Hoes had #1 seed Dutch Roll on the ropes in the semifinals, only to falter on Sunday.  Not this week.  Golf Cheese Hoes gets a solid round of E from Mike Weir to clinch 3rd place for the season.

2008 SLS Cup Champion: Romig $100.00 (+$42.00 ML)

2008 SLS Cup Runner Up: Dutch Roll $50.00 (+$21.00 ML)

Round 4

Honma and Golf Cheese Hoes advance to the SLS Cup Semifinals.

The win was never in doubt for Honma who saw Slaughter double bogey his first hole and never looked back.  What was a tie after three rounds turns into a seventeen shot swing as Singh shoots -8 and Trahan goes +9.  Honma’s dream run continues this week with a matchup against #2 Romig.

Golf Cheese Hoes has a looming matchup against #1 Dutch Roll after her victory over Gonzalez.  The win was never in doubt as Golf Cheese Hoes never trailed thanks to Weir’s 61 in round 1.

#3 Slaughter will play #5 Gonzalez for 5th place.

Round 3

Slaughter climbs all the way back, shooting a -7 and tieing his SLS Cup matchup with Honma at -32 a piece.  It will surely be an exciting finish tomorrow.

2008 The Barclays Rotoff Golf Leaderboard

Round 4

Honma steps up and gets the win ($4), a league best sixth of the season, and erases an eight point defecit to grab the 6th and final spot in the SLS Cup Playoffs.  Shlink Lincoln is sent packing as Honma beats Dutch Roll in a playoff (Singh birdie 17).  The RU ($1) was the fifth runner up for Dutch Roll, who wraps up the #1 seed and a first round bye.  Also getting a first round bye is Romig.

The matchups for next week’s SLS Cup Playoffs 1st Round are:

 #3 Slaughter

vs.

#6 Honma

#4 Gonzalez

vs.

#5 Golf Cheese Hoes

Round 3

Honma and 18 Hoes share the RR at -8 and sit in 2nd and T4 respectively.  Dutch Roll has a one shot lead with one round left in the Rotoff regular season.  Honma is currently in the playoffs if they were to start today.  Can he get it done on Sunday?

Round 3 FC

Chad Campbell, Paul Casey, Charlie Hoffman, Trevor Immelman, Anthony Kim, Hunter Mahan, Phil Mickelson,

Round 2

Dutch Roll is looking to run away with this one, sharing the RR at -10 (Kinzler also -10) to take a six shot lead over 2nd place Gonzalez into the weekend.  Honma is currently in 3rd place, a two points behind Shlink Lincoln for the final playoff spot.

Round 2 FC/MC

Woody Austin, Aaron Baddeley, Ben Crane, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, Steve Marino, Ian Poulter, Adam Scott, Vaughn Taylor, Scott Verplank, Camilo Villegas, Nick Watney, Boo Weekley

Round 1

Someone woke up Dutch Roll.  In a slump of late (9th and 8th place finishes the last two weeks) Dutch Roll ties the all-time record low round in Rotoff and leads 2nd place Sand Crabs by four shots.  The only thing left to decide this week is seeding and the final playoff spot.  Down by eight points coming into this week Honma is not quitting yet, currently tied in Points for the last spot with Shlink Lincoln, who would get the nod on tiebreakers.  Even still a win by Honma could get him in to next weeks SLS Cup Playoffs if Shlink Lincoln finishes 9th or 10th.  It will be an interesting weekend.

It appears the playoff teams are set, with only seeding left to be determined.  Just one more week until the SLS Cup Playoffs.

Round 3

Slaughter and Golf Cheese Hoes share the RR at -8 and sit in 2nd and 3rd place respectively.  Leader Shlink Lincoln takes a six shot lead into the final round at -33 overall.

Round 2

Shlink Lincoln increases his lead in shooting the RR (-13) for the second straight day thanks to 11 birdies from Carl Pettersson (61).  Slaughter, who is in a battle for the #2 seed and a first round bye when the playoffs start, is in 2nd place at -19 overall and eight shots back.

Round 2 FC

Round 1

Shlink Lincoln is on a mission, shooting the RR -14 (Pettersson 64, Duke 65) to lead after round one.  Holding on to the 6th and final playoff spot, Shlink Lincoln can all but lock up a playoff birth with a victory this weekend.  18 Hoes who is currently 7th in SLS Cup points is two shots back with a round of -12.  Sand Crabs, the winner here last year, is desperately trying to gain ground in the point standings and sits 3rd at -11.  It’s a short field this week as many teams have only two starting golfers.
