2008 PGA Championship Rotoff Golf Leaderboard

Round 4

Romig shares the RR at -2 and cruises to the major win ($20), the first of his career, and pulls him within 6.5 points of the #1 seed.  Romig held the #1 seed through most of last season only to falter and just miss out on the playoffs.  Not this year.  Romig is determined to etch his name on the SLS Cup.

Shlink Lincoln finishes six shots back but still good enough for the RU ($5) marking his second major RU this year to go along with a major win.  Defending champ Kinzler made a good effort but lost a few strokes on the last few holes to finish just outside the $.  Third round leader Sand Crabs suffered a Rotoff record high round of +15 to finish T8.

With the RU Shlink Lincoln now holds the 6th and final spot for the SLS Cup Playoffs, with Kinzler one point back.

Round 3

Sand Crabs shoots the RR at -8 and leads by one shot with one round left to go.  In 2nd place is Romig at -20 overall.  Shlink Lincoln is in 3rd place at -17 overall.

2008 Week 31: WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Scoring

2008 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational Rotoff Golf Leaderboard

Round 4

Honma hangs on for a close but much needed win ($8) and jumps from 10th into 6th place on the SLS Cup Points list, also setting the course record at -30.  Romig shot the RR at -4 (Lonard 66) but could get no closer then one shot on the back nine to finish with the RU ($2).  It’s Romig’s third straight WGC/P RU to go along with three WGC/P Wins, an impressive streak.  In eight total WGC/P events going back to 2007, Romig has cashed in six of them.

Only three points separate 10th place from 6th place and everyone is still alive to make the SLS Cup Playoffs with just three weeks left in the regular season.

Round 3

Honma shoots the RR at -8 (Singh 5 birdies, Z Johnson 3 birdies) and jumps out to a comfortable three shot lead at -28 overall going into the final round.  Romig is in 2nd place at -25 with Shlink Lincoln, Dutch Roll and Sand Crabs T3 all at -23.

Round 2

Romig’s king through two rounds, shooting the course record tying RR -12 (Lonard 66, Furyk an eagle) to take a two shot lead over Honma into the weekendShlink Lincoln, Dutch Roll and Sand Crabs are T3 at -18 overall, four shots back.

Round 2 FC

Chad Campbell, Paul Casey, K.J. Choi, Ernie Els, Padraig Harrington, J.B. Holmes, Anthony Kim, Rocco Mediate, Rod Pampling, Adam Scott

Round 1

For the first time in Rotoff history we have a five way 1st place tie as Honma, Golf Cheese Hoes, Romig, Sand Crabs and Shlink Lincoln are all atop the leaderboard at -10.  In last place, but only three shots back is Slaughter, meaning this is going to be a close tourny as everyone positions themselves to make the SLS Cup Playoffs.  Defending champ Dutch Roll is -8 and two shots off the lead.

With only four weeks left every tournament is important, not to mention this event is worth double the payouts of a normal tournament.  $ List is the 2nd tiebreaker for playoff seeding.

Round 1 FC

Robert Allenby, Aaron Baddeley, Niclas Fasth, Steve Flesch, Trevor Immelman, Robert Karrlson, Vaughn Taylor, David Toms, Scott Verplank, Boo Weekley

2008 Week 30: Canadian Open Scoring

2008 Canadian Open Rotoff Golf Leaderboard

Round 4

Once thought to be done for the year, 18 Hoes has enjoyed a resurgence of late and now sits in 6th place overall in the SLS Cup Point standings18 Hoes gets the win ($4) and adds to his career wins record, now at 12.  No one could get closer than three shots in the final round.  Gonzalez shoots the RR at -3 (O’Hair 68) and eeks out the RU ($1) in a playoff over Romig.

There are just four weeks left in the regular season and the race for the SLS Cup is too close to call as only 10.5 points separate 10th from 6th place.

Round 3

Romig keeps pace with 18 Hoes in shooting the RR at -10 and trails by just one shot heading into the final round.  Kinzler and Gonzalez are T3 at -25 overall, but trail the leader by eight shots.  It looks like it’s down to just 18 Hoes and Romig for the $.

Round 3 FC

Fred Couples, Steve Flesch, Charlie Hoffman, Billy Mayfair, Carl Pettersson

Round 2

Kinzler shoots the RR at -12 and jumps up into 4th place, but still trailing leader 18 Hoes by four shots.  Only weeks ago in last place, 18 Hoes can get within points of the playoffs chase if he can hold on for the win.  At -24 overall 18 Hoes has a two shot lead over 2nd place Romig.

It was a brutal cut as three teams have no golfers the rest of the tournament.

Round 2 FC/MC/WD

Stephen Ames, Jim Furyk, Brian Gay, Nathan Green, J.J. Henry, Dustin Johnson, Matt Jones, Craig Kanada, John Mallinger, Jeff Quinney, Branden Pappas, Pat Perez, Charles Warren, Nick Watney, Bubba Watson

Round 1

18 Hoes gets out to the first round lead with an RR -13 and leads Gonzalez and Romig by one shot heading into round two.  Defending champ Gorilla Bisuits, who retired at the end of the 2007 season, will not get a chance to defend.  We will have a new Canadian Open champion in 2008.

2008 British Open Rotoff Golf Leaderboard

Round 4

Golf Cheese Hoes survives and wins ($20) her first major on a solid final round score of  -1 and -11 overall.   Gonzalez gets the major RU ($5) with a total score of -9, his second career major RU.  On a day when everyone went backwards, Golf Cheese Hoes prevails with the help of British Open runner up Ian PoulterAlso sharing the RR was 18 Hoes whose -1 clinched a 3rd place finish to move up two spots in the SLS Cup point standings.

Defending champ Shlink Lincoln finishes dead last and makes a costly mistake by sitting tournament winner Padraig Harrington who was supposedly injured on Wednesday before the Open started.

 ”I’m such an idiot.”

It was a woulda, coulda, shoulda for just about every team as winning player combinations were out there.  It was just a matter of cutting the right golfer at the right time.

Round 3

Brutal, brutal scoring today.  Honma is on the lead at -13 overall, two shots better than Dutch Roll and three shots better than Golf Cheese Hoes, Gonzalez and Kinzler.

Round 3 FC

2008 John Deere Classic Rotoff Golf Leaderboard

Round 4

Slaughter hangs on for the one shot victory ($4), defending his title for the second time this season.  Putting up a good fight but coming up just short, 18 Hoes gets the RU ($1) and his first $ Finish since the U.S. Open.

Round 2

Dutch Roll shoots a record RR of -15 (Baddeley 66, Green 68) and trails Slaughter by three shots heading into the weekend.   Slaughter sits at -27 overall through two rounds and another title defense is in his sights.  This could be a possible SLS Cup Playoff preview as #1 Dutch Roll and #2 Slaughter are battling it out and leaving everyone else far behind.  18 Hoes put together a decent round (-11) and is currently in 3rd place at -22 overall, five shots back.

Round 2 FC/MC

Tim Clark, Ben Crane, Lucas Glover, J.J. Henry, Charlie Hoffman, J.B. Holmes, Peter Lonard, Carl Pettersson, Heath Slocum, Vaughn Taylor, Johnson Wagner, Nick Watney

Round 1

Slaughter is out to a huge lead by shooting a record tieing -16 (16 birdies, 2 pars) in round one.  Slaughter is also the defending champ and looks to repeat a title defense for the second time in 2008.  18 Hoes and Shlink Lincoln  are T2 both at -11 and five shots back.
